Established in the 1950s, Wildwood’s population is 2600, according to the 2008 census. Its population has remained consistent since 2004. The community exhibits stability among its dwellers, as the 2006 survey indicates that only ten percent of its residents moved within the past 12 months. Wildwood’s 2005 median household income of $94,337 increased by 14 percent from 2000.

Single-family homes account for nearly 98 percent of Wildwood’s residences, and semi-detached houses make up the remaining two percent. Nearly 91 percent of the neighbourhood’s homes are owner-occupied.

Public schools include Wildwood Elementary School and Vincent Massey Junior High School, as well as Ernest Manning and Western Canada High Schools. Private schools in the area include St. Michael Elementary and Junior High School, as well as Bishop Carroll and St. Mary’s High Schools.
