Elboya, one of Calgary, Alberta, Canada’s older neighbourhoods, sits in the south western portion of the city. The land was annexed in 1910 and the neighbourhood founded in 1947. Most of the development occurred just after World War II. It is part of the Ward 11 district on the Calgary City Council.

The Elbow River and Crescent Boulevard frame the north, the Macleod Trail edges the east and Elbow Drive brings up the west. 50th Avenue S is on the southern end. Stanley Park provides welcome green space to the northeast.

In 2006 the population was listed as 1,683. As of 2000 the average household income was noted to be $62,374 with 16 percent of residents in the lower income category. Immigrants made up just over 17 percent of the population. Condominiums and apartments made up 37.4 percent of homes and just over 40 percent of the housing inventory was being used as rentals.

Schools in the area include the Catholic St. Anthony’s and the public Elboya Bilingual Elementary/Junior High. The closest major shopping mall is the Chinook Centre to the south.
