The West End and East Village areas, in particular, are the most popular downtown neighborhoods. The other communities on Downtown Calgary’s outskirts include the neighborhoods of Eau Claire, Chinatown and the Beltline.

The public transportation provided hits the four major areas of this wonderful city in a way that is beneficial to all of its residents. This is due to Downtown Calgary bordering the east where the Elbow River resides, 14th Street guiding the west, Eau Claire that points to the north and the CPR tracks that lay to the south. Because of this convenience, the residents of Downtown Calgary have the tendency to leave their cars sitting in front of their homes and travel on the local LRT.  

With access to the infamous 17th avenue, high end stores that include Holt Renfrew and visible construction projects that bring the hope of more ingenuity to Downtown Calgary, there is no wonder why it is a prime area to live in.

Buying condos for sale in Calgary, especially in the downtown area allows you to enjoy a great lifestyle all within walking distance... and the walking can all be in a warm environment if you use the Plus15 corridor system which connects most of downtown.  You can completely avoid the hustle and bustle life of driving from place to place to enjoy the many city amenities.
